PURLINS
C PURLINS
C Purlins are a type of structural steel often used in the construction of roofs and walls for a wide variety of buildings, including residential, commercial, and industrial structures. The name “C purlin” comes from the shape of the cross-section, which resembles the letter “C”. These purlins provide excellent support and stability and are known for their ease of installation.
- Standard Sizes: Typically available in depths ranging from 100mm to 300mm, with thicknesses from 1.5mm to 3mm. Lengths can be customized based on project requirements.
- Applications: Roof and wall support in steel-framed buildings, mezzanine flooring, carports, agricultural buildings, and industrial sheds.
Z PURLINS
Z Purlins are another type of structural steel with a cross-sectional shape that resembles the letter “Z”. These purlins are particularly effective in providing continuous spans across supports, thanks to their overlapping capability. This makes them ideal for larger buildings where strong, stable structural support is necessary.
- Standard Sizes: Commonly available in depths ranging from 100mm to 300mm, with thicknesses from 1.5mm to 3mm. Lengths can be tailored to meet specific project needs.
- Applications: Roofing and walling in large-span buildings, such as warehouses, factories, commercial buildings, and agricultural structures.
Both C purlins and Z purlins are integral components in steel construction, valued for their strength, durability, and flexibility in design. They are typically made from high-quality galvanized steel to ensure long-lasting performance and resistance to corrosion.
